This is the numeric keypad with the Great Fire note, not the mansion’s rotating-disc safe.
1. A small nudge
Read the nearby note and inspect the painting. The clue asks for a year, not the date of the fire itself.
2. Explain the clue
The note adds 300 years to the Great Fire’s year: 1666.
- Read the note on the shelf near the keypad.
- Check the back of the Great Fire painting for the base year.
- Add 300 and enter the result.
3. Reveal the keypad answer
1666 + 300 = 1966. Enter 1966.
